Colorado Democrats have sizable majorities in both chambers of the State House. With Republicans stripped of most of their legislative power there has been a lot of discussion about mounting recalls. The tables below show the recall petition requirements for each legislative district. Just in case someone was feeling strategic.
Is there a plan in place?
I’m ashamed to see something like this posted by a fellow alumni. You didn’t do your homework. The link at the top outlines the full process which clearly states: “At the state and county levels, the elected officer must hold office for at least 6 months before a recall petition may be circulated or filed. The exception to this is for general assembly members, who may be recalled beginning the 5th day after the general assembly convenes.” As these are all members of the general assembly and it convened well over a month ago they are all eligible for recall.… Read more »
We are ashamed to see something like this posted by a fellow alumni. You didnt do your homework with regards to who got appointed and therefore cant be recalled. You also dont point out who just got elected and you need to wait 6 months for them to be recalled. In the Senate thats: Ginal; Foote and Bridges and the House: Frolich; whomever took Ginals seat; think thats all. 6 month time frame does not apply to: Senate Zenginer; Todd; Fields; and we think Court and Williams House; they all just got elected so when is 6 months from 4… Read more »
